MAAZ Cheese, located in Bodegraven, and Fromagerie Europa, located in Alphen aan den Rijn, recently agreed to transfer all shares from Fromagerie Europa to MAAZ Cheese.

Over the years, Fromagerie Europe has grown into one of the most specialised cheese importers in the Netherlands.

Thanks to its huge product range of over 1000 different cheeses and its distinctive personal approach, Fromagerie Europe is well represented, both online and offline, in various segments of the international cheese market.

MAAZ Cheese is a true Dutch family-owned business. Driven by authentic entrepreneurship, the focus is always on creating a lasting relationship with the customer. MAAZ Cheese wants to bridge the gap between what the Dutch dairy sector and the European cheese market have to offer and what the market demands. By working closely with the leading European cheese and dairy producers, using modern packaging technologies, and having its own ageing facilities and state-of-the-art distribution centre, MAAZ Cheese is able to reduce supply chain costs to a minimum.

With the acquisition of Fromagerie Europa, MAAZ Cheese is one step further in the completion of its growth strategy as a full-service supplier of cheeses and cheese specialities.

In September 2019, Fromagerie Europe will be moving into MAAZ Cheese’s recently finished distribution centre in Bodegraven.
