MAAZ Cheese and Veldhuyzen Kaas, both located in Bodegraven (the Netherlands), recently agreed to transfer all shares from Veldhuyzen Kaas to MAAZ Cheese.

Veldhuyzen Cheese is specialised in the export of cheese specialties in more than 50 countries outside Europe. The brands Calora, Basiron, Montana, Veldhuyzen, Dolaner and Hommage are all well known around the world. Veldhuyzen Kaas has been awarded multiple times for bringing remarkable cheese-related innovations onto the market. Veldhuyzen Kaas has been serving clients in the Benelux for more than a century.

MAAZ Cheese is a true Dutch family-owned business. Driven by authentic entrepreneurship, the focus is always on creating a lasting relationship with the customer. MAAZ Cheese wants to bridge the gap between what the Dutch dairy sector and the European cheese market have to offer and what the national and international market demand. Working closely with the leading European cheese and dairy producers, using modern packaging technologies, and having its own ageing facilities and state-of-the-art distribution centre, enables MAAZ Cheese to significantly reduce supply chain costs.

Mid-December 2019 Veldhuyzen Kaas will be integrated in the MAAZ Cheese distribution centre, where it will remain responsible for export activities under the name Veldhuyzen Kaas.

With the acquisition of Veldhuyzen Kaas, MAAZ Cheese is one step further in the completion of its growth strategy as a full-service supplier of European cheeses and cheese specialities.
