On 16 September 2019, the day had finally arrived. One year after the first pile was driven, MAAZ Cheese opened its new ageing and distribution centre. The current office on the Goudseweg in Bodegraven and the entire Fromagerie Europe team were the first ones to move in. The next stage will be all about integrating the full team and the activities of Veldhuyzen Kaas.

The new building has a floor space of over 12,000 m2 and features sustainable climate control systems and materials, which earned MAAZ Cheese the BREEAM sustainability label.

What makes the site unique is that cheese ageing, warehousing and the packaging of Dutch and European cheeses all take place under one roof. The internal flow of goods is controlled by an intelligent information system. MAAZ Cheese uses its own transport to distribute products to the Benelux.

MAAZ Cheese offers a complete range of European cheeses and focuses on providing services to all sales channels.
