MAAZ Cheese in Bodegraven and Blok Kaashandel in Woerden have agreed to enter into a partnership as of 1 May 2023.

In concrete terms, this cooperation means the following.

Blok Kaashandel has specialized for four generations in the laying and trade of Farmer’s cheese and Farm cheese and will again fully focus on the ripening and refinement of Farmer’s and Farmer’s cheese, exclusively for MAAZ Cheese. The employees of Blok Kaashandel will be employed by MAAZ Cheese on 1 May 2023. Arie Blok, the owner of Blok Kaashandel, will carry out the selection, ripening and order picking of Farmer’s cheese and Farm cheese and several other specialties to perfection. With this, MAAZ Cheese has a partner with whom the Farmer’s cheese and Farm cheese segment can be perfectly filled in and expanded at home and abroad.

As of May 1, 2023, the entire customer base of Blok Kaashandel will be supplied by MAAZ Cheese from Bodegraven with a complete range, of course including Farmer’s cheese and Farm cheese.

MAAZ Cheese opened a new ripening and distribution center in Bodegraven in September 2019. Cheese is supplied every week by more than 180 European producers, which finds its way through the various sales channels within and outside Europe. In addition to a complete and highly specialized European cheese assortment, MAAZ Cheese has commercial teams with a high level of knowledge of both Dutch and foreign cheese. MAAZ Cheese’s motivation is to optimally respond to opportunities that the domestic and foreign cheese market offers us, based on personal contact, together with customers and suppliers.
